How to configure OpenText common search to V8 upgrade

I upgrade to V8 from v7.6, on the upgrade document, it said:

Configure the Open Text Common Search Module on the management
stage using the Configuration Console. For more information, see
Knowledge Base Item 10678: Installing Open Text Common Search and the
Configuration Console Online Help.

But I can not find any clue what I am suppose to do on configconsole to using OpenText Common Search, anybody has experience on that?

Hi Jeffrey,

Here are the steps to configure OTCS from VCM config console.

<![if !supportLists]>1. <![endif]>Access Config console from URL – http://<host>:<port>/configconsole

<![if !supportLists]>2. <![endif]>Go to “Application Services” under delivery stage.

<![if !supportLists]>3. <![endif]>Right Click on “Application Services” and choose “SearchEngine Configuration - > Configure Search”.

<![if !supportLists]>4. <![endif]>Go through the setup screens to configure search.

If this search is configured after the content iscreated/updated, you would need to run “vgncontentindex” utility.Please refer to the VCM admin guide on how to use this utility.

To add to this, You need to create an Index which will be usedBy the Management stage. For creating an index, go to http://<SearchHost>:<SearchPort>>. This index name is needed while configuring Search from the Configconsole
