V8 Style editor - Renering Override jsp/xsl

Hi,

We have used override files(jsps, xsl) with custom code in some of the CTDs for content select and multi select widgets...This doesn't seem to be recognized in V8 Style Editor. Please let me know if there any configuration update I need to do other than chhosing V8 Style Editor in Generla tab.

The override files (JSP/XSL) used for the CCE widgets will notwork in the V8 world. They are not taken into consideration in the new V8 console.The configuration of the widget still contains these values so that therendering continues to work in the older V7 console. The reason is that theJSP/XSL which were used in V7 were invoked in a different context and wasdependent on some things (e.g. parameters in the request or context) which wouldnot be present in the new V8 console. Similarly the widget framework wasdifferent in V7 (which invoked the XSL and passed in parameters).

However, other settings for a CCE widget like the validation,reference data, default value, Auth groups and transformation should continueto work in V8. And of course the general settings for a certain widget (likewidget, height, etc) would work in V8.

V8 follows a new widget framework and any customizations youhave done for earlier widgets should be redone as per the new framework. Pleasecheck the documentation, and also there is a sample custom webapp available todemonstrate how a widget’s presentation can be customized. I think thisis available as a KB item.

Unfortunately, the same is the case with the “ContentEditor – JSP URI” specified in the CTD. It will not be used in V8.
