Common friendly names in FURL CI's

Hi,

  We manage two sites in our VCM(version 7.6). While using manual FURL feature, we observed that after creating a FURL CI for first site with a certain 'friendly name', we are not able to create FURL CI with similar friendly name for second site.

  I'm aware that this is a known issue with 7.6 version per internal report [VCM-18343]. If anyone has come across this issue and have a work-around, please share it.

This is a known limitation with FURLs in the 7.x releases. It’sone of the things that got addressed in the 8.0 release along with a few otherthings such as:

 

<![if !supportLists]>-       <![endif]>Ability to define aliases for VCM sites (e.g. VCM site name: “SomeSite Name”, FURL alias “/someSiteName”)

<![if !supportLists]>-       <![endif]>Ability to configure the default space character in FURLS(default is now - )

<![if !supportLists]>-       <![endif]>Ability to access the FURLs (renamed Vanity URLs) directly  fromany managed object (content instance, static file and channels)

<![if !supportLists]>-       <![endif]>Ability to enable FURLs selectively per site

<![if !supportLists]>-       <![endif]>Lots of performance improvements in the FURL resolution and linkbuilding code
