Deploy task issue

I am trying to configure a new workflow using workflow modeller and the out of the box deployment task scripts. However, when it comes to run the deployment task i get an error

"Could not run d:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl d:\iw-home\local\bin\wft_opendeploy.ipl for task 1069344; retrying in 1 minute "

What happens when you invoke the task from the command line?

there can be multiple causes for the error...
1) the target file system does not have proper permissions set for file deployment
2) the user for deploymet doesnot have sufficient rights on target file system
3) there is no connection getting established between source and target servers

I would argue that none of those potential issues is the cause of the problem - each of them assume that the script ran and the deployment process within the script failed - whereas the error message clearly indicates that the script was unable to be run.

My first inclination would be that the iw.cfg doesn't contain the following:

[authentication]
disable_ext_task_impersonation=true

(this is applicable for 671SP1 - but alas, no version information was provided in the original post)
If it's missing, I suggest adding it and then running iwreset and iwuitldreset and seeing if the problem goes away (I'm not sure if either or both of those commands are needed, but they're relatively quick and non-disruptive)

Hi friends
I m getting the same error.Although i have changed the iwperl to iwperl.exe under \iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl.
also I have deleted a dummy 0 KB file named iwperl which was created in folder iw-home/iw-perl/bin/

But still i m getting the same error "Could not run ....... retrying in 1 minute".

could anyone help me asap.
