We are not seeing new UI when user tries to edit Query components on VCM8.0. Any idea how to enable that?

Hi Madhu, make sure your vgn-ext-templating webapp (or customDSM/DPM webapp) is updated with the VCM 8.0 code (e.g using the new taglibsfile).

That is a V7-style URL indeed. Are you seeing the rest of the V8in-context UI (e.g new floatie, new region menus?). If yes, please check yourQC content type, it might be the case that it’s still using the V7 editorstyle (not sure why, though)

Meanwhile can you help me with the following information.
Can you post the URL from your browser that it takes you when you try to edit QC as we have webserver sitting infront of Appserver and i have to take a look whether we need to add any new Context paths at the webserver end.
Right now, this is what i see in my browser when i click Edit on Query component for one of my DPM portlet

Hi,
Yes we do see the new floate from the preview sites. I looked at the QC Cotent type and it was pointing to V7 Editor style and i made a change to V8 but still i dont see the new UI when i try to edit QC of that contet type.
I need one more confirmation from you pls,
Accessing the Appconsole URL i.e., http://xxxxxx:27110/AppConsole takes me to old UI and access the URL like http://xxxxxx:27110/content/#/workspace/site takes me to new UI. is it the right behaviour?
or do we need to make any changes to bring up the new UI when we try to access http://xxxxxx:27110/AppConsole URL itself?
It is the right behavior. There are two entry points to the VCMsince V8:
/AppConsole for the former V7 UI
/content for the new V8 UI (the “MyPage” tab in theV7 leads to this /content entry point too)

After making change in CTD for a "Editor Style" parameter, i could see new UI when we try to edit CI's but not when we try to edit Query Component. Any changes to be made for QC's to see them in new UI?
I have verified the Custom DPM code which is built based on new vgn-ext-templating.war.
Are you accessing the Editor from the new region menu or fromanother area on the page? If you keep facing this issue please log a VOLSSticket, the new UI should show up automatically if you have the Editor styleset to V8 for all the CPS components
