Is there a way to minimise the size of the OpenText search folder?

At the moment, our folder is over 50GB in size and growing rapidly. For example, with no new content added to the server, the folder jumped from 48GB to 50GB in 2 days.

Any help on this would be grately appreciated.

Static files that need to be indexed are placed in \references folder and search engine on completing the indexing task deletes them from this directory. If files aren't getting removed from this location, then its most likely that search engine is not able to access this directory (not enough permissions) or search engine ran into some error and has stopped processing. Sysconsole on admin's home page most likely will show the reason for any search engine failures, queued-up index backlogs etc. Btw this can be better handled through a support ticket.

It turns out the folder causing the issue, is the Log folder:

OpenText\search\server\logs

This folder is over 45GB in size. Am I missing a setting that can reduce the size of the log files?
