ORA-00923 error while setting up the VCM

Hi,

While installing Vignette I am at the step of configuring "Oracle Databse Cordinates", after providing all the required details of the oracle database connection when I either click "Test Connection" or click "Next" button the system is showing a dialog as "Validation failed for database orcl. Config Status Message: 07/19/2010 18:18:47:202, Error 0 (Unknown), Message 008-018-0002: ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected", and I am not able to proceed to the next step of the installation.

At the same time for every click of "Test Connection" a new table is getting created in the database whose naming pattern is probably causing this issue, one such table is BIN$i8H3y5QbJTzgQBes2Mk3eA==$0.

When i try to execute a select query on the above table from an SQL client it fails saying "ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended". Wondering whether the above table name pattern is causing this issue?

I am using version VCM 7.6 and Oracle 10g as the database. I am installing VCM 7.6 on Windows XP platform and the database is on a remote UX box. Any insights will be highly appreciated.

I resolved the issue, the root cause of the issue was the schema name contained a hyphen (-). We created another schema without hyphen and the setup was successful.
