7.3 - Custom Dates template

I have 2 issues that I have come across in 7.3.

First, I'd like to format the custom dates (ITS_CUSTNUM) to only show the dates, not the time. (i.e.. 6/10/2010, instead of 6/10/2010 12:00PM) I know that I can probably get that information from the core.jar file, but is there a way to do that in the templates? I can't seem to find it. I do not want to do it across the board, just for the custom attributes.

Also, when I'm creating a document and have ITS_CUSTNUM1 as an ATD, it does not display the date after creation. It still has "TBA". I can then edit the properties and it will display correctly. Any suggestions or kb items I can look to correct this?

Scratch the first question, that was resolved. However, I'm still having an issue with the date not posting after creation, only after editing properties.

This is just guess, but make sure your date attributes are included in the 'CT_AttributeSequenceForCreateEditable'. ?To test this theory, just make sure your 'CT_AttributeSequenceForCreateEditable' matches your 'CT_AttributeSequenceForEdit' on your CTD.

Regarding your first question, I have having the same issue. How did you resolve removing the time from the attribute?

Here was my solution to the problem.

Added folder customDate with 3 templates. "displayDate.shtml" "showCOATValueAsDate.shtml" "showCOATValueInDashboardAsDate.shtml"

Each template has a custom name with "CS_".

The following must be added to the attributes for dashboards and coverpages:

CA_ShowValueTemplate = CS_showCOATValueAsDate.shtml

CA_ShowValueInDashboardTemplate =CS_showCOATValueInDashboardAsDate.shtml
