Alternative to ChainSelect Widget

Brendan_Kelly

We use the ChainSelect widget in a number of places in our V7 environment and it is very useful.

However, as V8 does not support this widget, which widget can we use as an alternative?

Thanks in advance,
Brendan

Although, it is not a V8 widget, there was an alternate widget called Dropdown Management. It is available for download in connect.vignette.com in developer's community.

We have completed the tests and we are in the process of writing some user documentation, so it is a matter of days. In the meantime the package is available to VPSs for download in our internal repository. Is there anybody there who is helping you guys ?________________________________________From: eLink Entry: Vignette V7 and V8 Web Content Management [v7webcontentmanagement@elinkkc.opentext.com]Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 2:27 PMTo: eLink RecipientSubject: Re Alternative to ChainSelect WidgetRe Alternative to ChainSelect Widget Posted by brendan.kelly@prudential.com (Kelly, Brendan) On 2010/07/20 08:26Fantastic Mario, do you know when the appsvcs-extensions-801 will be available?Thanks,Brendan________________________________[To post a comment, use the normal reply function]Topic: Alternative to ChainSelect WidgetForum: Vignette V7 and V8 Web Content ManagementLivelink Server: knowledge-wlweb01

Hi Mario,

I was wondering if there was any update on this? Has the new V8 ChainSelect been released yet?

Thanks,
Brendan
