configured custom widget won't show up in the content type definition modeler

Hi, we have a custom dbselect widget developed on Vignette V7.3 and we would like to use it on V7.6. I compiled and packaged the code and depending libs into a jar and packaged the widget jsp in a war file. Deploy them and register the custom widget succefully. However this widget won't show up in the CTD modeler widget drop down list. Any hints about what's missing and where to look at would be appreciated.

You probably didn’t configure the widget in the config space.

You can use vgnexport to export the widget definition from thesource environment using

vgnexport –u <user> -p <password> -h<host>:<port> -t configNode –n <widget node path> -f<zipfile name>

The reason we don't want to direct export/import is because the package name, etc have been changed. We merged the pertinent code with our v7.6 custom code. I used configconsole configured the widget under Widgets>custom extension widgets (followed exactly the extending widget guide by Vignette) . I can see the widget configuration in the configconsole and I can url to the widget's jsp page correctly. But the widget is not included in the widget drop down for CTD modeler. Could not find any exception/error in log file. Please help.

Can you please post here a screenshot of your widget config ? Iam not interested in the xsl, need to see the other fields and the node id.
