Hi All,
I'm writting a standard 286 portlet. One thing I need to do with this portlet is only allow a select group of people to access this portlet. I have used several of the OTB portlets that come with Portal but this is one of my fist 286 portlets. I'm sure that what I need to do is something that is done everyday; I'm just tyring to figure out how to get started.
Background:
- Portal 8.0
- SSO with Jespa
- Users and groups maintianed though LDAP
Currenlty my portlet only list Registerd Users and Guest Users on the permissions page where access to a portlet is granted. What I would like to do is to add groups here so that I can configure the portlet though portal to show it only to users from a particular group. As a bonus I would like to be able to configure a message to show to users who are not part of the group to indicate that they can't see the portlet because they do not have the appropriate permissions.
Does anyone have an example or documentation recomendations for tackling this problem?
