This should work. You should be able to load dcrs belonging to a different datatype...

Hi Sailesh,

the requirement is something like described below.

The title of our pages has two parts: Particular Page|Business Unit.
The value for "Particular Page" changes with each page. So we enter its value in the DCR itself ( belonging to "Content" DCT).

Now for "Business Unit", value will always remain the same. So quite obviously user will be irritated to enter the same value again and again in all the pages.So, I want this value to be entered only once in the "Header" DCR and then I want this value to be read by PT corresponding to "Content" DCT.

You may think since this value will remain same, it can be hardcoded. But we are using the same set of templates for various sites, pushing the set from a centralised location. So I want to get rid of this hard coded business.

You have a very valid solution, thats the good approach as well. Load the common dcr's into your tpl.

It doesn't matter which datatype it belongs to.
