automatically modified files issue

Hi,

I'm using RHEL 4, with Teamsite 6.7.1 Service Pack 1, 68040
Every 24 hours the "Modified By" of all files in all branches get reset to "root" and the file icon gets a little pencil added to it. (the file was edited). I can't figure out what causes it. SELinux is disabled. There are no scheduled tasks on the machine, except for whatever was there by default.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Is this a production system? If not you can freeze the store for 24 hours. Whatever process is causing the modification should fail and you should see something in the messages.

This "24 hours" time-span of yours is an interesting sign. I've seen similar (though not identical) manifestations
when people run backup without running iwfreeze. Another possibility is virus scanning/protection and the like.

If nothing seems to be the culprit contact Support, as far as I recall RHL4 is supported.

Hello All,

I have customer experiencing the same issue. TS is not made to use root to modify, so in all of these cases, it would to be a OS system 'touch' that's making these changes, not TS. Logs from Ts and OS cannot prove either way, so we are still looking for cause.

TCS and Artem, I've send you messages on this, so wondering if you ever came across a fix.
