Hi all,

I have made a post persistance listener with very simple code as below:

if ((asEvent instanceof AsPostPersistenceEvent) &&
(((asEvent.getType().equals("PostPersistence.Create")) ||
(asEvent.getType().equals("PostPersistence.Update"))))) {

my logic

}

I registered it at below event:

Vignette Configuration Console > Vignette Content > Vignette Content Delivery Services > Content Management Stage > Content Delivery Services - mgmt > Application Services > Events > PostPersistence.Create

Restarted CA and DA. But, this listener is not working. Then, I added JVM Debug parameters to BINARY_ARGS at

Vignette Configuration Console > Vignette Content > Vignette Content Delivery Services > Content Management Stage > Content Delivery Services - mgmt > Deployment Agents > Deployment Agent - mgmt > Deployment Agent Configuration > Managed Process

My eclipse is able to connect. Then, I tried to debug the code, but the code seems like not being called at all!

Any inputs will be appreciated?

So, take a look at the logs. There is a point where you will find information related to the complete set of listeners wi=hich are loaded and executed for each event. Copy the name of the class of one of the system listsner (MOoPersistenceListener or similar, check the spelling in the config console) and looks for it in the log. You say you registered the listener inconfig, but did you actually push/commit the config changes you made there ordid you just change the value for the list of listeners?

Hi David,

Mario hepled me out here. Outcome is as below for others reference:

All listeners registered at mgmt DA runs in VCM JVM. That's why, I was not able to debug that.

In post persistence you are changing a value of an attribute of the subject of the event. It is too late for make this change, so the change is lost......Therefore, I imeplemented it as PrepersistanceListener and it started working.

The thumb rules are:Deployment event listeners run in the mgmt DA JVM.
