We are on TS 6.5 SP2 on solaris. I have a question about multistore -I have heard from this forum that it requires a separate license for adding another store but I have not been able to see any reference to this in prosuct documentation or support site. If we create an additional store without a license will it get disabled after a certain length of time (similar to trial version of od-receivers) OR is it something just on paper?TIA
I don't believe it is [well?] documented anywhere. It is a separate item that you fill in when generating a license, and if you go beyond what you're licensed for you will get messages in your log files. If your company gets audited - you could be looking at a very unpleasant experience.If you want to find out about the cost - contact your Interwoven Sales representative.
how many stores do you plan on having? if just 2 (from my experience), just generate new license from the support website with the correct number of stores. it shouldnt cause you any porblem with IWOV if you license is still valid.
Thanks for your reply. We already have 4 stores and I can see that we have generated license for 4 stores. We are planning to add a 5th store and also around 500 branches as part of the migration - I see that number of branches is also another parameter in the license generator, but I do not see that in TS.lic log. I hope it is just a parameter added for troubleshooting info and does not go into the license part.
You are wasting your time. As has been already noted you have to talk to your IWOV TAM - the sooner the better. Nobodyon this Forum knows anything about your Contract clauses, discounting, packaging and the like. Payment negotiation is strictly between your Company and IWOV, almost all Contracts differ
