Generate Full Channel Hierarchy in DSM with Channel Nav Component

Hi,

We are generating full channel hierarchy (upto 5 levels) in dsm.
We have defined the region as Channel Nav Component.
We are using contentutil methods to generate the tree. But I am sure there would be some method in Channel Nav Component itself which would give us the way to generate the tree. Because when we print the xml of channel nav component, it is giving all the channels.
Can anyone help us here.
our purpose is to utilitize the tree which is already there in the channel nav component, rather then we calling the contentutil apis and generating it.
