<path> tag in Data deploy

Hi,

Iam new to Data deploy concepts.

Iam trying to invoke my Data deploy from Open deploy.For that i have created two external tasks.

If I attach more than one file to the workflow from different folders.How will it internally maps the relationship between the attached files and "path name="templatedata/pages" visit-directory="deep" " of Data deploy configuration file.

Can i give . for name attribute of path tag path name="." visit-directory="deep" tag?

What is the difference between name="." and name="templatedata/pages" in path tag?

Please clarify my doubts on Data deploy.
