Menu item for new data record

This may be a silly question.. but here it goes anyway..

I just did a fresh installation of Teamsite 5.5.2 for NT. I had worked previously only on Solaris (as developer, not installed)

Im trying to create a new data record but this menu item does not appear on File menu. Im currently located inside my workarea and i have already configured my templating.cfg file. I tought maybe it was configured as a custom menu item on iw.cfg but my solaris version does not have it also.

Does anyone knows if this is a problem on my installation or am i missing to configure something else?

you won't see the menu option unless there is a /templatedata directory in the current workarea. This is assuming TST is installed _and_ templating.cfg is correctly located in iw-home/local/config.

This may sound like a silly question to your question, but did you install TeamSite Templating 5.5.2 as well as TeamSite 5.5.2?

Are you within a workarea when you look at the File menu?
Do you have a templatedata directory with sub-directories for categories and data-types?
Does the data-type directory contain a datacapture.cfg, data sub-directory and presentation sub-directory?
