What is the better approach to implement Media Bin 4.6 with Load Balancer ?

The Load Balancer is a Cisco 6500 Content Switch CSM.
The LB has its own IP address.

Can you give more specifics of your anticipated use cases? Are lots and lots of jobs being run, or is the load primarily searching and browsing (and how much of each)? As you might expect there is no one size fits all answer!

Mostly searching and browsing.

I would say 75% searching/browsing and 25% jobs being run.

This would be for both internal and external users.

( external users are accessing MB through Web client , which is installed in DMZ Server)

Is the LB primarily intended to increase performance or availability?

In this scenario you are somewhat likely to be database bound.

I'll circulate some emails to people who have more specific experience with this sort of configuration.

More context :

We are consolidating the DBs of multiple SQL server hosts on one of 3, two server SQL 2005 clusters .

The selection of which cluster will host a particular DB depends on how it is accessed and the type of data contained.

Type –I data will be on one cluster whether the data is access internally or externally.

Type –I I data accessed from the Internet will be hosted on the second cluster and

Type –I I date accessed from within the Company network (Intranet) will be hosted on the third cluster.

Load balancing (to achieve 7/24 availability) is required for all Type –I data and

other data is required 7/24 on a case by case basis. With all the clusters having two load balanced servers,
all data is available 7/24.

Can you guide me on this
