Authentication Issue

Hello -

We are running Portal 7.4.4 (Jboss) and have some custom authentication and SSO code working. When users logon they are authenticated against an LDAP. Users can logon and access the Portal no problem. When and admin user logs on they are authenticated and can get to the portal no problem however when the admin user clicks the "Administration" link they get a Vignette logon prompt. In order for the admin to get in to the admin console they need to remove the "c_id.vgn_system_component/d_id.d_login/flg_proclgnrq.1/" which is appended after the /console/ in the address bar. Each time they click the admin link after this is done they get in no problem.

We previously had this working; we never used to get the Vignette prompt when clicking the Admin link. I am not sure if there is configuration we need to change or if something changed somewhere. This is a new deployment; both Jboss and Vingette.

If you set your log level to debug, do you see anything that stands out in the Portal log when this happens?

Best I can tell there are no errors and everything appears to be normal. Are there any reasons this may happen? Anythign else I can check or do to troubleshoot?

Do you have any working environments where you can compare debug logs when somone clicks the administration link? Open a VOLSS ticket if you don't see anything that stands out.
