Autonomy & VCM 7.5 and Licensing on delivery stage

Hi,
On our vcm installation, the delivery stage is configured to use the Autonomy search engine (the default when it gets installed while installing VCM). We are planning to bring out the search feature to the Delivery stage.

I have some queries regarding Autonomy configuration:

• What is the general deployment pattern for autonomy on a single delivery stage (I am assuming, the Delivery stage pointing to the mgmt stage's autonomy might not be the right thing to do.)
• Are there any licensing costs involved if we use the same autonomy installation (in case we need to)

I appreciate any insights into the topic.

Hello Arun,

 

You need to setup your own Autonomy instance for your deliverystages. Having a single Autonomy instance with two indexes (one for the managedcontent, one for the published content) is technically possible but notdocumented. As long as you are licensed for either Dynamic Site or DynamicPortal your license covers the use of Autonomy on the delivery stage.
