WorkflowModeler - Email task problem

I have created a simple email task, but I can get it to work.

My variables
mail_template: /iwadmin/main/config/STAGING/workflow/email/authorNotification.xsl
ClassName: com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.workflow.task.urltask.AuthorMailNotificationTask
target_task_name: end3

In the log files, I'm getting this error:
Error reading DTD http://localhost/iw-cc/datacapture6.0.dtd. Message: At line 201, column 44: Can't mix separators in a choice/sequence

Was the workflow created? When does the DTD error happen? At workflow creation time or at the time when it tried to send email? Do you see the http://localhost/iw-cc/urlexternaltask hit in the iwwebd access log?

Can you please specify the TeamSite version? Also, author notification should point to any other task, and then the end task because end task does not have any owner.

Following is the error message:
2008-04-17 12:42:50,807 [http-8080-Processor22] WARN com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.workflow.task.urltask.AuthorMailNotificationTask () - task End3 has no owner, aborting mail notification...

This could be the problem.

Yes, the workflow was created and I get the error when it tried the send email.

I don't see the http://localhost/iw-cc/urlexternaltask hit in the iwwebd access log.

I'm using TeamSite 6.7.1 Service Pack 1,

authorNotification is pointing to usertask. In the content center, task detail, comment section, I get the message Completed email notification, but I get nothing.

I've attached my log file

...And where can I set the from, for the email.

The log said "Could not connect to SMTP host: mail.exampledomainname.com".

Is the mailserver setting correct in iw.cfg?

In Teamsite-Home/etc you will be having iw.cfg. In this file search for "iwsend_mail", Change the entries for the following

maildomain=interwoven.com
mailserver=smtp.interwoven.com

maildomain & mailserver specified is for our office network. Similarly change it for your server.

You will be getting mail notification as

TeamSite Task Notification
has assigned a TeamSite task to you.
To perform the task, please use the following link:

So "from" is by default it will be "TeamSite Task Notification". Mail notification will be sent to email id of owner of the task

The setting are good in the iw.cfg file.

I think the problem might with our smtp server who doesn't recognize the default "from", "TeamSite Task Notification. Is there a way to change that?

Given the error message in the log file - It looks highly unlikely that the settings are correct in the iw.cfg file -- or you have duplicate settings and its not picking up the one you correctly configured.

Finally I got it working, the iw.cfg file was ok, but I had to do a iwreset -a. By doing a simple reset in the content center, it wasn't taking the new config.
