Scope of Java developer in learning OpenText Product.

Hi,

I am java developer. I have worked in projects of IBM FileNet product. I have worked as FileNet developer. As this product is developed using java, It is easy to learn the java API for FileNet and huge amount of documentation and support is available for java developer than .Net developer.

I want to know that whether java api is available to learn OpenText product and such kind of support and documentation is available to learn in java for OpenText.

Please let me know so that I can proceed to learn OpenText.

I'll address the Open Text Portal (formerly Vignette Portal) product since this is the Portal forum.  You'll probably want to begin by downloading the Portal Developer's Guide for your version of Portal.  It addresses the main points of customization possible.  Here's a link to the top-level Portal documentation folder.

There are also .zip files containing the Public API.  Note, if you're developing for 8.1 you'll download the Public API from the 8.0 folder.  If you are going to develop PortalBeans you'll also want to look at the Vignette Portal 4.5 Module Developer’s Guide.
