ToolTip functionality in jsr168 portlet

Hi,

I am working in a project, where a tool tip should be displayed in JSR 168 portlet. I tried using the java script present in d ynamicdrive.com. This is working in normal web application, where as not working when using in the portlets.

 

Do I need to use any Vignette custom libraries to display this ? Any help/ideas on this. Thanks.

When using JSR168 portlets, the rendered html (including the JavaScript) is placed within the html (and Javascript) of the portal page which contains many other components (and possibly other portlets). Did you look at the resulting portal page's html source to confirm that your JavaScript is still present and that it is not conflicting with other JavaScript on the page?
