password creation

I have installed TeamSite 6.7.1 Sp1 on a linux box and during the install three user accounts are created (iwui, iwts and iwguser). I was wondering how the passwords for these accounts are created? I can see the encrypted passwords on the server, but for security reasons I want to know if i need to change them.

They are the default users being used by IWOV compiled scripts. You dont need to update the passwords for any of those.

Is there any documentation on how the passwords are created (random or are they from a set list)?

No, there are no documentation explaining what the passwords are, or how they are created. But you should be able to change their passwords if you have root access to the system.
