Backup Synchronization strategy

Hi, we would like to know how, in your installation, do you perform the backup synchronization of the Worksite file server and the SQL tables in order to make sure that there will be no lost of data? What tools do you use? Of course doing backup at midnight minimizes the problem but we want to provide a 24h/7d service for our roaming staff.

This question concerns both backup/restore procedure and disaster recovery procedure.

In every enterprise there should be a backup/recovery team or admins responsible for such tasks.

I have however seen( in unix env) snapshot from san and then running tape backups of the snapshot to minimize freeze time.
