There was some issues with Adobe Reader 7 on MB 4.5
Q.) Did you uploading PDF files using any task?
I had upgraded Adobe Reader from 6.0 to 8.0. Still the PDF upload doesn't work.No. I am uploading PDFs using "Insert Unmodified".
We have MB Asset server on a Windows server. The other MB asset server on a different windows server acts as a load balancer. We also have two MB Web Clients on two different servers. When I upload PDFs using the MediaBin Client, it works all the times. But, if I try to do the same through the web client, most of the time, it fails. Thank You.
If I understand your question ,You have two MB Servers, (One MB server for load balancing)Did you try uploading pdf files on both servers using MB Web Client ?
Certainly, if MB windows client don’t show error on pdf insertion and show error on [font=Book Antiqua]MB web client
whatever may be the case, the Black ICE printer driver should be installed using mediabin service account not through any other admin and more importantly,it should not have been installed using remote desktops.Make sure the black ice is set up as default printer on the box. The printer driver is responsible for injecting the non-image assets into mediabin. We faced the same issue and we resolved it by uninstalling the printer driver and re-installing on the terminal console.
Service Account doesn’t matter , while you are installing Black Ice Printer Driver ,
(But required admin privilege to the server) .It’s a Printer Drive and not running as a Service,
so it is not related with any account name .
But it’s important to configure the Black Ice printer path
The manual clearly explained , use terminal installation for Black Ice.
You are configuring the Black Ice for the Server and not for the MB Web Client / or Windows client.
The pdf rip off issue is not showing with the Windows Client .
This is a significant indication that the issue is not related with Black Ice
As Lyman Hurd explained in the thread , the issue is not related with Black Ice
This issue got resolved by the help of Interwoven Support. In my case, as Samuelq mentioned in his post, installing Black Ice Printer 9.86 resolved the issue.
New experience for me  -Vin
