TFO 5.5.2 and New Job

we're having a little confusion in assessing workflows in TFO 5.5.2 (Solaris) as to what information is available in the product manuals-
basic question: can new workflow jobs be initiated within TFO via a New Job menu item?

page 66 of "ts.552.wf.pdf" states "new_TFO_job—Valid when you select the New Job option in TeamSite Front-Office."

however, can't find mention of a "New Job" function (using or configuring) in neither "tfo.552.admin.pdf" nor "tfo.552.rn.pdf"? Does this functionality exist in TFO 5.5.2 or is this just a documentation gap?

we still have a few days waiting for an available server to see for ourselves after installing TFO 5.5.2

if you're an IW resource, please don't escalate because we've already opened a support case- but am posting here hoping for a quicker response / confirmation of this functionality from somebody who has seen/configured it with their own eyes-

I have not used TeamSite FrontOffice so I cannot answer authoritatively, but do you have workflows configured in the available_templates.cfg file on your server that have:

<command value="new_TFO_job" include="yes"/>

specified for them?

I'd assume (perhaps incorrectly) that the above command value is required to fire off a New Job from within TFO.

It was a bit unclear from your message whether or not you had already done this.

the documentation you point about about this workflow trigger is about all we can find on initiating workflow jobs via TFO, thus our question- there isn't any corresponding mention of performing (or any necessary configuration) from the TFO side of things-

we haven't yet been able to test this trigger in 5.0.1 because TFO 5.0.1 (Solaris) wouldn't work due to the EntireX component of the architecture (despite several weeks of working with support) - so we're looking to upgrade all products up to 5.5.2 (based upon the TFO product group's recommendations) soon, but are currently awaiting server and OS setup, etc

we plan to test it asap in 5.5.2, but are trying to get a headstart as to what's required on the TFO side (if anything)- the lack of mention of "new job" at all in the TFO documentation was a kind of "yellow flag" in our assessment of it - thus our question here- we're looking for somebody who has installed TS and TFO 5.5.2 to make sure the functionality is actually there and what might be involved with enabling and / or using it-
