Admin cannot unlock files...

Hi All,

After the 6.7.1 upgrade, we have typical issue that, some of the admins(role) are not able to unlock the files. Can you pls help on this issue.

1. What was your earlier teamsite version /OS/Service Pack ?
2. Pls share the steps that you followed during the upgrade .
3. Do the filenames that your Admins are having trouble with have spaces
Eg. file no 1.html instead of fileno1.html

Hi nboven,

Earlier version is 6.5 and the new version 6.7.1
Actual upgrade was done by development team. We are not aware of Actual steps.
There is no changes in the file name as well

With 6.7.1 TS has a new user role model. I can be an admin on one branch and nothing on another. I suspect you need to recheck that the users you *think* are admins on this branch are truly admins. Also you can delegate certain functions and it *may* be possible to restrict the ability to do an unlock (I have never tried but I think you can) so verify that as well.

Hi Sara,

You can go to administration tab > Manage Roles > Admin > Click More Details and check if the unlock files option is checked for Admin Role.

Please check in your /conf/roles/roles.xml
and check what functionalities are enabled for administrator.

Varun, there is no restriction given in roles.xml file. If it has given, every admin has to get the problem. But in my case, only few are getting this problem.
