Retain Document ID

Hi Guys,

Is it possible with the Interwoven API (imanage.dll) to define a Document ID when creating a document. This will be part of a migration tool where the Document IDs should stay the same.

Monitor and ASCII Import tool can do it so there must be a way

The server tools can accomplish this because it does not use the COM API's - distributed with the SDK - to make the transactions. These tools are coded by the server team which talked directly to the mlib.

The SDK does not support API's to generate the docnums; they are dictated by the server code.
