Asset Import !

Hi All,

We have a webserver (Server A), which is internet facing and Server B (Which has the Teamsite Installed).

On our server A, we have a CMS custom login page. We use reverse proxy for connecting between the server A and server B.

In the httpd.conf file (server A) we have the entries as below

We are able to work properly using this setting. Only the asset import is not working using this implementation.

But when we directly hit on the server B (TS )
http://serverB or http://10.200.154.223, the asset import would work.

Our Env is as below
TYS 6.1 , Solaris-8. Apache Webserver.

Your CMS login page is served by the Web Server A(on a WAN IP) .Make sure all reqd. ports are open through the reverse proxy between server A & B .
1. Are your Teamsite users internal(LAN) or even external(WAN) ?
2. Do All users and roles face this "unable to upload Files" from UI issue ?
3. What is the exact error on the Teamsite CCc/CCPro UI ?

All the ports are open,

1. Teamsite is served from Internet.
2. All users and roles face the same issue.
3. We are getting the applet initialization error.

The workaround that we are having is to follow the below steps or directly hit server B (Teamsite server)

To avoid this asset import problem, You need to install a JVM patch on your local m/c.

Pls follow the below procedure and try.

A) close all windows

Pls goto http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/javavm.html
C) click on [Click here to Download] link.
D) wait for 10 to 15 secs.
E) It will ask you to download one exe file.
F) save it to your desk top
G) double click on the exe file and follow the installation procedure and restart the local m/c.
H) once installation is over pls follow the below procedure.

Pls. goto Control Panel, there you might be seeing an option named "java" OR "Java-Plugins".

If an option available is "Java-Plugins", then follow the steps given below;

1.Double click on it
2.Go to the 3rd tab "Browser"
3.Uncheck all the check boxes (browser types)
4.Click Apply
5.Open a new browser window to login to TeamSite and check the Import File functionality.

If an option available is "Java", then follow the steps given below;

1.Double click on it
2.Goto "Advanced" tab of JAVA security panel
3.Goto tag support
4.Uncheck the "Internet Explorer" option
5.Click Apply
6.Open a new browser window to login to TeamSite and check the Import File functionality.

It's not an Applet problem. Prem indicated that direct import works. Therefore Java Applet is fine.

The issue manifests with the access through SSO Reverse proxy, possibly because of proxy Server denying (unsuccessfully challenging?)
internal Server call authorization. Depending on what proxy has been used it may or may not be able to configure, like for example using
proper SMSESSION cookie for SiteMinder Proxy, etc

The problem is that IW does not provide support for customization. We are working on some work around would let u know if we r successful.
