Permission denied error

Hi All,

Thanks in advance. I have added a new base server information to the existing Admin UI (Admin service resides on different server).

When I try to add myself as admin to the new base server, it gives me the attached error. Can anyone help me on this?

OD 6.2.0 Patch 1

If you are logged in as yourself, you are not an admin and you need to be admin to make someone an admin. Have you tied to log in as the bootstrap users & select admin when you do so ?

Thanks for the reply. Here is what I did. I now installed the Admin server on the newly installed base. I created a local user as the bootstrap user and was able to log into the UI. I tried adding the new users with admin priv. Now the new users are not able to login to UI. It says, Failed to authenticate user. Invalid username/password combination.

I checked the od-admin user id xml file and the entry for the new users are present.

Any pointers?

That should give you an idea what is happening

domain\user in the username field
password
server
role

I assume you know this but it is worth checking.

How are you authenticating the user password ? Domain controller ? Local users ? Did you log in with 1 type (local) and fail on domain ?

Check the CSF log, CSF\AccessService\Log

Its working now perfectly. May be it is a delay with respect to the LDAP - I guess.
