there should be only one templating.cfg file on an server but you can split the content present in templating.cfg to various xml files and include the xml files.

Do not use External entities to split templating.cfg, there is a known bug with that approach - [thread=23855]generation failing [/thread]

I have one implementation in which we are splitting templating file now will change it back to normal.

Before doing that check generation, both GUI and iwgen. iwpt_compile is not affected. For all I know, it may be Windows bug only

umm you might be right it should be just Windows issue because haven't faced it in Solaris env so far. Anyways will try to check that and will update the post.
