onItemChange is not good enough for my purposes. Is there a listener for onkeydown event? I want to make some ajax for my users in the template. Can this be done? Thanks...

Not using the formAPI I don't think.

I am looking at the 6.5 documentation and don't see any events to handle key presses.

You could always write something custom but not sure it would be a supported solution....
