Query TeamSite Groups for Job Instantiation window

Hi All,

I am currently in the process of creating "new" workflows using the Workflow Modeler v1.0.0.1 for SitePublisher. In our current TeamSite set-up, when a user pulls of the Job Instantiation window, the list of the reviews are populated by querying LDAP. With our "new" workflows we are designing, we thought it would be nice if we could query our TeamSite groups based on the branch the current user is in. I have read the documentation for the Workflow Modeler about the framework "Datasource". I was wondering if anyone had any experience creating a "DataSource" that will actually query a TeamSite group? I do not have much experience creating Java classes, so any help or recommendations would be much appreciated.

I think you could query the respective roles and populate the roles with a group to achieve what you want.

For TS groups there is an OOTB datasource component available that you don't have to code anything for.

Add the following to your iw-home/local/config/DataSourceConfig.xml

TS Group Picker
com.interwoven.datasource.examples.TSGroupPicker
your server name
http://your server name:80
com.interwoven.cssdk.factory.CSLocalFactory

[/HTML]

When you define global variables in WFM you should see "TS Group Picker" in "Component Name" when you select "Variable Type" as "DATASOURCE"

There is no any TSGroupPicker class in any JAR file.
If you want to make DataSource for picking Groups/any type of users, you need to write a new class for it and then register this class in DatSourceConfig.xml file.
There is an example given in Worflow Modeler User's Guide pdf with title DataSource Example, So try to implement this, its a good example to create a new datasource.

I think this was a mistake by me. The group picker was an internal thing that was provided to me by IWOV and I was under the impression that it was OOTB.
