Primary Site Login

We have several portal sites used by different groups. A primary site assigned to each user based upon what group they belong to. We would like a single page login in page that all users, regardless of group, use to log into. From that page the user is taken to their primary site. We have determined to do the '/portal/site/' URL must be used. Using this URL when the user logs in they are taken to the primary site assigned to them.

The problem we are having is I do not see a way to the 'Email a New Password' feature.

First, is what we are doing for primary site login correct?

Second, if what we are doing is correct how do we enable the 'Email a New Password' feature?

What APIs are you using to create the url and redirect to the appropriate site? (Creating urls manually may not work in future versions of portal if the internal url format gets changed.)

Second, if what we are doing is correct how do we enable the 'Email a New Password' feature?

If you go to the site console, Site Settings, Site Access, General Access tab, the Email Replacement Passwords check box needs to be checked.

We assign a user in a group to a primary site in the Header Style of the Main page theme. The primary site is defined by it's UNIQUEID. This set's the flag on their user account for their primary site.

We actually apply a twist to this in that we always use the same site for all users, but the elements (header, navigation, page elements) of the page are determined by their primary_site flag. Since we have 4 possible looks to the site, we employ User_Segments to define the specific design.

Email login settings would be set in the Site's Access settings for Guest Access. This is, of course, based on the Server Console settings.
