Capturing the user who is publishing

I am working in VCM 7.6.. I am trying to capture the publish time, unpublish time, publisher name and unpublisher name in VCM, as we know it is not built into VCM. I have written listeners for the same. How can i capture the user ID who is clcking the publish button to publish a content instance?

Further, could you please tell me the events fired when someone click the publish button or unpublish button, since i would write listeners appropriately

There’s another reporting console for viewing this information hence you won’t be able to put it back in the management console (btw pub time and unpub time are new out of the box system metadata in the upcoming 8.1 release). Content Management Audit is available on the Knowledge Center for download, but requires a license to be purchased first,
