cssdk attachFile

Hi,
I'm using :
TS 6.7.1 on Unix.
CSSDK(java).

My workflow as about 5 task, on the third tasks, I want to attach a file that i've created.

I've look at the documentation "Interwoven workflow modeler User's Guide r.1.0.0.1" on page 157, and I didn't like this approach.

Is there an better approach?
example:
String filePath1 = "/t1_complex/dev/WORKAREA/system/reports/reportBaseValidation";
CSAreaRelativePath reportFile2 = new CSAreaRelativePath(filePath1);
CSAreaRelativePath[] files2 = new CSAreaRelativePath[0];
files2[0] = reportFile2;
task.attachFiles(files2);

It was so easy with perl, they must be an approach with java. I've look into Interwoven forum and didn't find nothing?

I guest it's because with perl it was a one liner, and I was hoping not to have to write an interface for something so simple...

Is using custom code the only way to attach a file with java?

I'm just looking at:

CSPathStatus[] attachFiles(CSAreaRelativePath[] filePaths)
Attaches files to the task.

in com\interwoven\cssdk\workflow\CSTask.html

BTW: You didn't mention which version of TS/CSSK you are using....

CSSDK 3.1.0,

I've tried multiple possibility with the attachFile with no success,

I've got a files located into an different area:
Name of file = reportFile
Source file:->iwmnt/Pubs-Pubs/main/t1_complex/dev/WORKAREA/system/reports/reportFile

I've tried this and it ain't working what's I'm I missing:

CSAreaRelativePath attachedFiles = new CSAreaRelativePath("iwmnt/Pubs-Pubs/main/t1_complex/dev/WORKAREA/system/reports/reportFile");
CSAreaRelativePath[] curFilePath = new CSAreaRelativePath[0];
curFilePath[0]=attachedFiles;
task.attachFiles(curFilePath);

You aren't specifying a relative path.

Shouldn't it be:

Are you getting an exception thrown?

'system' here seems to be a Workarea name. Providing this WA is your Task areavpath, correct Area relative Path should be "reports/reportBaseValidation".
Please note leading slash absence

Your right system was a different WA, I guest before I ran it again I should set the new WA with setArea before.

Only run-time and only for different Tasks. The reason is that Task Object has single areavpath attribute.
In general, you can certainly create Workfows that operates across multiple areas. You should know what you are doing though
