Is that possible to swap a replicant value in DCR?

Hi friends, here is the scenario, I have a replicant with four items(name, age, hidden,salary). Now among those items I want to keep the item(hidden) on the top of others in DCR file. I am using TS6.5 on windows.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Can you be a bit more clear about what you want to do?

Are you trying to change the order of fields in existing DCR's?

Thanks for quick reply. Yes exactly I want to change the order of existing DCR, here is my existing xml file in attached file named "existing_dcr".

I would like to change it to in attached file named "new_dcr".

without changing the DCT.

Perhaps just attach your XML rather than placing it in the post.

Can I ask why the order is significant?

It shouldn't really matter....

I guess if you change the order in your DCT and open and re-save the DCR it should do what you want.

Thanks and I totally agree with you. Now the requirement has been changed, forget about the previous scenario. Is that possible to add one item field in between replicant element and replicant attribute. What I mean, in that attached file I would like to add one item field in between "Hidden field ? - 3 items" and "Hidden field ? -1". Is that possible?

You are probably rushing the wrong route.. Use another container and put your replicant container within that container.. That will be much simpler to do..

Also your design is not very clear.. Can you mention your business scenario to do what you are trying to do so others can suggest a simpler solution..

Thanks Khanna, they want some kind of mark-up before the replicant in dcr which will help the developer to recognize the replicant and parse the value of that replicant. Thatswhy I was thinking if I can set a hidden field before that replicant start or in DCR if I can set an attribute "type" right after name in DCR for example

*value>*item name="hidden" type="replicant">

instead of

*value>*item name="hidden">

Thanks for you reply, Thats the requirment I got from them and they just want to identify the replicant by reading that field value; in order to parse the replicant value from the XML file(DCR).

Anyway, I have convinced them by putting a hidden field inside of that replicant. Now they are able to identify the replicant value by reading that hidden field's value.
