How to update default project path for Content Select CCE widget

Hi,

 

I've created a class to use with the Content Select CCE widget to produce an alternative default project path.  Basically, I would like to create a sub-project under the current project and store the content there, by default.  Based on the example provided in CCE, I can see how to retrieve the last project in the list of root projects.  However, I want to specify the current project plus a custom sub-project.  Can someone tell me how it's possible to get the current project?  I don't see any way to do it using the current Context map that is passed.

you need to take in mind that the project selection happens *before* opening the CI editor in V7 but *after* opening the CI editor in V8. This means that there is no notion fo "current" project in V8 for new content instances, since the project selection hasn't occurred yet ....

 

Said that, to retrive the project of the current content instance you need to first get the CI itself. In V7 you get it like that

 

PropertyPage page = PropertyUtil.getPropertyPage(request);

ManagedObject mo = (ManagedObject)page.getAttribute(COEConstants.COE_CONTENT_INSTANCE_KEY);

String projectPath = mo.getLogicalPath();

etc...

 

in V8

 

String id = request.getParameter(Editor.ID_Attribute);

ManagedObject mo = null;

if(GUID.isValid(id)){

  mo = ManagedObject.findByContentManagementId(new ManagedObjectVCMRef(id), RequestParameters.getImmutableInstanceTopRelationOnly);

  String projectPath = mo.getLogicalPath();

  .....

}
