How to access PDF info in perl?

Hi all,
The requirement is to parse the available PDFs in perl and display the 'Title' of each PDF.
I tried using couple of libs available from CPAN like 'URI::Title: Smiley Tongue

DF' and 'PDF-111' but seems they all work with only Adobe PDF version 5.x.
The output Title given by this libs is just blank(literally nothing).

Most of the versions of PDFs I have are version 7.x and their producer is either 'Adobe PDF Library 7.0' or 'Acrobat Distiller 6.0'(not sure if this matters).

Does anybody has any previous experience/scripts/suggestions dealing with this?

oops looks like you have already tested pdf111.

Use Pdf does display pdf title in my test env

is it possible to paste the code you are using / along with some pdf's ?
