how to build role based authorization

Can some one point me to any good documentation for role based authorization in Portal, especially to control the content and links depending on the role, please.

Kavi,

When you say "Content" do you mean:

1) Nav items, pages, portlets, and other built-in portal components?

2) CAM - Portal's built-in content management solution?

3) An integration with external content management software, e.g. VCM, LiveLink, Collab?

Portal uses UserGroup membership for authorization? When you say 'Role" are you referring to something other than that?
