Queries on Content Instance Synchronization

we are doing some CI synchrozination for few of the CTDs:

During that time, can we do changes to other CTDs - such as adding or removing attributes?

Does server restart/configp affect CI sync process ? if there any , will it resume the sync process from where it has been stopped ?

Yes, you can still make changes to other CTs while synchronizingalready modified CTs. And server restart will stop any running synchronizationoperations, but you can restart those operations through the system console. I don’tthink they will automatically restart.

Thank you David for the info...

Actually we are facing an issue where we couldn't create new CTD's and unable to update the CTDs... Attributes tab is not loading fine .

We are able to see the attributes tab without any values in new CTD and when we try to add any DB attributes.. the page never loads completely and getting timed out....

We are wondering is there any lock being imposed during sync process with respect to DB tables and unable to make changes in the CTD attributes tab and make it loading always and getting timed out..

This sounds unrelated to synchronization to me. I don’t knowenough to suggest what else could cause this, but I don’t think there should beany sort of locking caused by synchronization that would lead to this. At abasic level, synchronization is very much the same as updating instances of theCT through other normal operations.
