V8 - Smart list configuration with multiple content types

 I want to configure a smart list with two content types but when I'm doing it the Sort Order is not showing the common attributes for those two content types even the xml name is same for those arttibutes.

 

I have a custom arrtibute "Start Date" as part of CTD1 and CTD2 and my requirement is to get all the latest content from CTD1 and CTD2 sort by Start Date Desc.

 

Is this working as expected or this is a bug in the system?

In the current system, the smart list does not provide an option to select the custom attribute (common for the CTDs) as “Sort by” attribute if multiple content types are selected. I think, it is just a scenario which was not considered for the smart list.
