Google toolbar crashing VisualFormat

We just ran into an interesting situation with users that had Google toolbar installed in IE6. When adding a URL to the visual format editor IE would completely close down.

They would enter text in the editor and highlight it. Then they would click on the "Hyperlink" icon. In the popup they would click on the 'Type' dropdown and IE would shut down both the popup and main window.

We had them delete the ewebeditpro files from their PCs and reinstall via the editor interface and also from the client install. Neither helped.

The users had Google toolbar installed for several months without any incident until about three weeks ago. We had them uninstall the toolbar but it did not work again until they also uninstalled the Google updater app.
