Hi,
We have a issue in our users system where the user is not able to view the chinese content in the Ephox editor. The java version is 1.6. Any help on this would be highly helpful. Thanks in advance.
Thanks and Regards,
TRV
Hello TRV,
You should also check for the Ephox EditLive which your VCM is currently using. There are some bugs in the
earlier versions of Ephox EditLive which are fixed in the latest version of Ephox EditLive.
Regards,
Aarif.
Thanks for your response. Actually its configured correctly, but its not coming up in only one of the users system. The others are able to view it properly. The problematic user system's configuration is much similar to that of others, like the browser versions and the java versions. Dont know what could be the problem.
Need to know is there any setting apart from the browser and the java versions that we need to check in the system like fonts or anything?
If you are using v8 and that happens on workspace, you probably should chekc the user profile configuration on workspace, we had similar issue on date/time format.
A easy way to figure out, let this user log on to vcm on other "works fine desktop", if he still have problem, then it should be his profile configuration in workspace has problem.
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the response. We are on VCM 7.6, I also tried on other machine with her credentials, she was able to see the Ephox contents properly. Looks like some system setting is missing. Is there any system settings or configurations that we need to check?
If this user's machine only has problem with Chinese, Japanes, you may want check that support for East Asian languages is installed, in windows, check the Windows Control Panel. The options are located under 'Regional and Language Options', then select the 'Languages' tab.
You may check JDK version on desktop as well, and language specific font packages have been installed.
Thanks for your response. It fixed the issue.
