Assign an audit policy to everything.

 Is there a way to assign every object to a single audit policy?

As audit policies to not effect objects children the only way I can think of is to run a script updating all contents to have a certain audit policy, this doesn't ensure new objects created have the same audit policy though.

Can audit policies be changed to include an objects children or can objects automatically be asisgned an audit policy when they are created?

This would be a customization, which would involve creating a post processing script. For  Audit policies, any child which is added to a particular container, the child would be the same audit policy as it's parent. Basically what would happen for  whatever the top level object is,  anything that is created under it would go to a post processing step.
