AppConsole - Getting cast exception while approve any '.gif file' from Content

Hi,

We are getting the below exception when we approve any .gif file from AppConsole (under Content) through COE, Any suggestions?

The following application error(s) occured:
An internal error occured that was unexpected

com.vignette.as.ui.serviceprovider.managedobject.struts.form.StaticFileBean

cannot be cast to

com.vignette.as.client.javabean. ManagedObject

Note:

Currently we are using VCM Version: 8.1

Steps to reproduce error when approving a StaticFile type in COE

1. Go to AppConsole
2. Upload a Static File under /Content/test/header.gif
2. Open header.gif, Click approve button in COE, it pops up an error like given

I cannot reproduce the issue that you are mentioning in 8.1.

The fact that the system mentions com.vignette.as.ui.serviceprovider.managedobject.struts.form.StaticFileBeanlets me think that you have in place some custom override for the staticfile property page. Please have a look in your Customer Extensions type spec
