basic problem with teamsite

I created a DCT and configured it in templating.cfg. For some reason, I get following error.

"Unable to create a new form of type steel structures/columns under the branch //DOMAIN-NAME/default/main/works. This form was not configured for this branch or you do not have permission to access it."

I am putting the simplistic brief code here, can anyone pls tell me whats wrong ?

Learn to preview your posts.

Remove the branch vpath-regex="/DOMAIN NAME/default/main/works/" until you learn how to use it. There are plenty of examples in the TS forms publisher developers manual to do what you want.

I tried without vpath, but its not working. It looks like a minor problem, but for I cant get it.
I know the way I posted was not proper. How did you post with tags ? Pls let me know and next time I will take care.

You post between HTML tags or CODE tags, HTML works better for XML

There is a widget in the editor that looks like this: <>

Press that button and insert some content, you will see the short cut.

for large blocks, put the XML between these: [html] [/html]

One final point, do not mistakenly use the close HTML tag 1st [/html] that will break the thread (it is much worse when using FireFox than IE).

Where are you editing the templating.cfg ? Is it directly on iw-home or from TeamSite (which implies you are using a config branch and need to submit the changes before they take effect).

Have you tried not having white-space in your category name? white-space in directories and file names is inherently bad for many reasons.

Nipper, what do you mean by "where are you editing templating.cfg ?". I just go to iw-home, edit it and save. How can tou edit from teamsite ? what is config branch ?

That was exactly my question and you answered it. You go to iw-home. Many companies have the config files on an admin or config branch, edit them there (within TeamSite) and push the changes to iw-home. Thus if you forget the last step, or OD fails, then your changes never propagate to iw-home.

I changed version path to ".*" again and now its working. I did same thing before and it was not working at that time. I am not sure whats going wrong here. I am afraid, if it goes wrong again , I wont have an idea, how to fix it. But its working for now.
