back ground image on page using css

Hi,
I want to add 2 background images on one livesite page. One on the top of the page and one on the bottom of the page.I try to use background-image property on html and body class. It's not working for both, one of them is work on a page. Please help.

Remove it from the body and set two different div's or span's with corresponding classes or styles. Something like that:

I want to place components on top of the back ground images.If I create a component with 2 div/span for top and bottom background images, I cann't place any component above that, as components can't be overlap with one another. Please help.

Would it work for you to combine the images into a single image?

No, I can not do that as my design requirement is the back ground image need to exapnd as the conent on the page grow.

I am having the same issue, the I have css being applied to the body tag, and the image doesn't show up. it will however show up on a component.

does livesite hijack the body tag somehow? if so, I'm not seeing where it is doing that.....
